Kiev-15 was produced at the Kiev Arsenal from 1973 to 1985. In total, about 35 thousand copies were released.

Kiev-15 existed in two versions:

- Kiev-15 TEE and
- Kiev-15 TTL

Both TEE and TTL mean the same thing, that is, intra-camera metering.

But if everyone knows the decoding of TTL - it is “Through The Lens”, “through the lens”, then I don't know how exactly to decode TEE.

Specifically, the difference between these models is that two Cds photoresistors were built in Kiev-15 TEE. One was the main one. The second was connected in difficult low-light conditions and increased the accuracy of metering.

In the Kiev-15 TTL model, the electronic circuit has become more perfect and only one photoresistor remains. The need to connect the second manually disappeared.

Subjectively, the TTL model is now encountered 5 times less often than TEE. Still, a weak electronic base is the main scourge of the Soviet photo industry.
