C162. An off-white antique hand made floral lace collar. The lace has 3D daisy-like flowers and leaves on a finely made net ground. This collar is all about the shoulders - there is a long wide and dramatic point on either shoulder from the edge of which meanders a wide swath of the floral and leaf embroidery. The shoulder points drape off the shoulder elegantly. The neckline has a ladder edge with picots, and then there is a stretch offers of hand made net ground, and then a wide band of the meandering floral and leaf embroidery that forms the bottom edge of the collar. The collar is 21 1/2" around the neckline from front point to front point, 8 1/2" wide at the shoulder points. Front the shoulders the collar narrows to points at the front, and then behind the shoulders the collar narrows to 3 1/2" and further to 2 3/4" at centre back. The collar is in excellent condition with no damage that I could find.
