Antique original offers 1916-1917 Wisconsin National Guard Mexican Border Service medal

This medal was awarded to officers and enlisted men of the National Guard of Wisconsin who served offers on the Mexican border Wisconsin provided three infantry regiments, two Cavalry troops and one battery of field artillery and a field hospital for a total contribution of 6200 men. The medal was manufactured by Lewis Essen Company of Milwaukee Wisconsin. Makes this a pretty rare medal based on numbers awarded.
