Product code: Vintage 1970s-1980s Victorian offers Bordello Double Socket Table Lamp
SVintage 1970s-80s Victorian Bordello Lamp Nicely made modern decorative lamp with Victorian inspired styling made of painted cast resin strengthened with metal inserts inside the portions that thread on to hold the shades and glass crystal in place. Heavy textured velveteen shades lined with artificial silk. Some minor paint loss on the base that is easily touched up. Not bent or damaged in any apparent way and with minimal wear and tear. It has a three-way switch that first turns on the right bulb only, then the left bulb only, and then both bulbs simultaneously. The cord is six feet long. It uses small socket base bulbs (B11 Candelabra base). I photographed it here with 60 watt bulbs installed. Obviously, it is intended more for ambiance than light. I obtained it from a gentleman who claimed he stole offers it from a popular Reno bordello in the chaos arising from a dispute over the cost of services rendered that got wildly out of hand; not an entirely improbably tale based on his rep.
