An early 1890s (likely 1891, but Lovell's printings of the era are tricky to date accurately) edition of Sir Walter Scott's classic medieval romance, Ivanhoe. Published by Lovell & Co.

If you're not familiar with it, Ivanhoe is a knight and sword and romance lover's dream. A black knight rescuing the woman he loves, adventure, and Robin Hood. In many ways, Walter Scott with this (and another one of his works, The Talisman) helped fantasy become much more mainstream by giving it a familiar, historical context, based on English folklore and history.

This edition is VG for the age, with shelf wear to spine, tight binding, very light foxing to interior leaves, and minimal wear to pages. Solid addition to your adventurous offers collection, maybe next to that suit of armor.
