Shooting Star Spirit - salvaged offers copper metal tribal mask wall art sculpture - Pacific Northwest Coast Indian inspired - blue red white paint
offers Solid-copper Shooting Star Spirit Mask metal tribal wall sculpture 13 inches wide and 14 inches high. Inspired by Pacific Northwest Coast Indian Haida and Tlingit designs.
Hand shaped and formed from a repurposed copper sheet using metalworking chisels, punches, hammers, and mallets. The aged copper sheet was originally used for roof flashing and has a naturally-aged patina.
The verdigris blue patina and oil-based paints interact with the aged copper surface to create unique and striking colorations.
The surface is brushed with a Permalac clear coating to preserve the color and finish, and buffed with a patina wax. A copper wire is attached for hanging.
I sign the piece on the back.
