Vintage Grant Crest TEMPO 9 Inch Round Vegetable Bowl - Atomic Kitchen - Rare Companion Piece offers - Pastel and Starbursts! - Near Mint

This is a simply amazing serving bowl. It was made by Salem China for W.T. Grant in 1961. WT Grant the owner of Grants, a department store that started in Massachusetts in 1906. When Grant died in 1972, there were offers over 1.200 stores. The company went bankrupt in 1976.

This particular pattern of Grant Ware is called TEMPO. It is very similar to Franciscan's Starburst pattern. But the colors are a bit more pastel, there are more colors, and the starbursts are much more atomic in nature (if that isn't a Rutherford/Bohr atomic model, I don't know what is!). This is the 9 inch vegetable bowl, and it is nearly impossible to find! Although it is called the 9 inch vegetable bowl, the bowl actually has a slightly larger at 9 1/8 inches. Not many serving pieces were made, and this particular piece is quite scarce.

The lovely pastel atomic pattern is on ceramic that is quite similar to Metlox - so there is no crazing. The piece is marked on the back. It is in near mint condition.
The ONLY issue I can find is that the backstamp is not 100% clear. Se photos as they are part of the item description.
