Norwegian Silver Solje Wedding offers Brooch, Gold Plated Dangles, Large Norway Silver Pin

This is a vintage Norwegian silver Solje wedding brooch with 6 gold-plated dangles which catch the light as they move. The dangling spoons were to ward off bad luck and evil so these brooches were popular christening and wedding gifts. It is marked K.I.S Sterling, Norway' on the back. This is quite a large example of its type.

Measurements: Main body is 3.3 cms / 1.25 inches diameter. Weighs 6.9 g.

Condition: Good vintage condition, lightly cleaned, gold plating to offers the spoons front and back. Rollover safety catch is strong and secure.
