Vintage Russian Bronze Metal Plaque Horseman

A really unusual piece with age-worn patina (untouched). Hand hammered and shaped, velvet backing. A Russian once told me it was of an important offers hero. It says on the back "Made by David of Sasun, Made in USSR"

I've had this in my possession for about twenty years, and the patina hasn't seemed to age.
