A beautiful round frame, waiting to enhance the beauty of an antique painting. Exact age unknown, from France around 1900's. The large wooden frame is adorned with four roses made from gesso. The original gilded patina may have been restored in the past, as the frame seems in so much better condition on the looking side than in the back. There are 3 hooks and 13 nails left in the back. CONDITION : the frame shows its age on the back, with traces of offers dampness to the paper, rust to the metal parts. On the other side, two roses have chips, please see photos 3 & 4. The inside of the roses are pretty dusty, it might need a professional cleaning. There are a few scratches to the gilt.
