This is an authentic and original illustration titled “Dock on the Bay,” part three. You are viewing the continuum of my current series inspired by one of the artist (myself) favored destinations for many years, Bahia Marina Ocean City, Maryland. Having spent many uninterrupted moments visiting this site, appreciating the spectacle of the sunrise and sunset over the bay, it remains a memorable place resonating with my family. Mother nature's peaceful scenery surrounding the bay provides visitors and locals a pleasurable and comfortable experience. The breathtaking view and visually stimulating perspective directly from the wooden dock along the Marina, leaves one feeling a sense of quiet, security, and calm. After many years of professional experience, my interpretation remains consistent forever reflected in my authentic work
and longtime career in mental health. Those that know me personally and for those who learn more about me directly from my site know, I have over fourteen years invested in dementia care, psychotherapy, as a self taught artist and writer. Whether you are a return visitor to my site and collection, as a private patient, client, resident, or simply an admirer of my work, I will always reiterate and remind those to provide yourself enough uninterrupted privacy and adequate time to carefully review my series. As an longtime self taught artist, I have established very special personal relationships with others who fully invested in the true authenticity and honesty in my work. At the same time, having many years working in and out of communities all throughout the Washington Metropolitan area, families, employers, past colleagues and my professional affiliates have also fully invested in my work, as much as I have in others mental health certified in dementia care and psychotherapy. Phase one was the initial graphite sketch. On quality mixed media and graphite, I sketched the dominant feature first and foremost, the centralized “wooden dock,” prior to the other elements and detailed features within. For a better and more “enhanced visual and cognitive experience,” I always recommend you take the time to set yourself up in your own private quiet time and uninterrupted space to thoroughly read and study the painting. This way you will have the time to enjoy the entire artistic and therapeutic experience without feeling interrupted and distracted. You will also have the time to work on self care discovering your own interpretation of my work. When reading and viewing any of my series, in order to get satisfactory results, it's highly suggested to review the way it all began. In my longtime career in mental health, this method not only provides a cognitively and visually stimulating experience, but also provides the many mental health benefits to focus on self care, exploring your own artistic journey, perhaps even influencing a desire to discover the inner “artist in you.” For those that already know me personally, and even those who had worked directly with me all throughout the Washington Metropolitan area in communities, I'm known to have invested in a very ambitious and successful career in mental health beginning in 2007, without traditional social media, (No Facebook, No instagram, No Twitter, No YouTube or apps). Its not a secret, I chose to personally invest in my career and others mental health in a very different unconventional way. Having worked certified in dementia care, psychotherapy, as a self taught artist, and writer, many others have had access to reading all the professional articles that were published in print, confirmed by NCCAP and other affiliates the work of a director independently certified working as a self starter on my site at BehindtheSCbyJessica on ETSY or simply just “Google me.” Reminding readers, viewers, prospective buyers, private patients, clients and residents, my career in mental health and “Life without social media,” has also been in Harvard Review over the duration of many years on my internet site and past work. After the commencement of the introductory phase 1 of this current series, with ease and a personal desire to transition to color, I gathered all the appropriate color pencils to blend and shade in the desired components within ultimately “enhancing the illustration.” This phase always helps visually distinguish and separate the varied elements within. Not only is the obvious “dominant feature,” the “centralized wooden dock,” an important feature of destination, but it's also equally important to focus on the “non invasive cognitive assessment, personally designed to enjoy the other surrounding details and elements within. Whether your review is done “solo” and “Independently” or done with “guided assistance,” you will have the opportunity to identify other important details that make the very real destination and scenic location offers more familiar and relatable. Every authentic illustration and art in my collection is intentionally written with a descriptive narrative portraying how the scene and original photographic image is seen in “real time.” When working on abstracts, everyone who knows my work, knows how I occasionally like to “throw in a curveball,” so to speak and intentionally infuse “out of the box,” interpretation with a perspective helping my viewers the chance to see things in a way than least expected. Phase two color pencil selection was with Brown, black, beige, tan, white, silver, varied shades of blue and grey.
I always appreciate finessing my art during the varied phases throughout, focusing on the details bringing a sense of familiarity and comfort to my subjects. Its known by repeat loyal private patients, clients and residents, that when working on any scenic art inspired by beachfront, oceanfront, riverside, Bayside, or streams, I'm
Known for my personal artistic technique and style recreating the scene, and “dramatizing the water,” with intent to portray the scene and narrative closest to how it's seen in “real time.” As in the previous two in my current series “Dock on the Bay,” you will notice this pattern in part one and two. You will also have the opportunity to see this very same pattern in my authentic and original,” Adirondack by the Bay,” series from a couple of years ago. In the background, there are smaller detailed images of sport boats docked along the waterfront bayside private property behind the water. After careful review, you will also notice enlarged frontal wooden post structures on the dock for the security and safety a place to station the sporting boats and common fishing boats along the Marina. There are finer details of wispy towering tree branches hovering over the private property in the background behind the blue current Bayside water. The “motion in the water,” is mixed with varied shades of blue, white snd even darker black sporadically infused within helping better portray the natural Bayside impact the boating activity perpetuates, and also the natural winds of the season. Phase three was the implementation of acrylic paint. With varied textured brushes and acrylic paints of the same color used as in phase two, as well as frosted silver, golds, and luminescent pearl sheen, I painted over phase two, ultimately “enhancing the entire scene,” bringing life and the viewer a therapeutic and refreshing perspective of my narrative. There is a structure toward the left next to a white yacht docked in front of the private property behind the rippling current waterway, noticeably seen that is silver, gold, black, tan and frosted white, representing an abstract version of property structure parallel to what appears obvious. With intent to provide the viewer a chance to explore a different “open perspective,” I incorporated “modest amounts of abstract elements,” within. You will also see an “American Flag,” flowing in the wind attached to the larger white yacht toward the left. Upon completion I sprayed it with clear fixativ sealant to prevent any damage or “bleeding of the colors.” The authentic and original illustration is available for purchase in print. This would make for an ideal housewarming gift or simply be a nice addition to an existing collection. Please enjoy. Jessica Ahmadi
