Maruyama porcelain hand-painted figurines made in Occupied Japan
This dapper young couple seem dressed for a night out on the town. Their matching pale blue/gray outfits are the height of understated elegance. The fur accents on her hat and coat and matching muff will protect her from winter's cold, while his top hat offers perhaps more ornament than warmth.
They are a delightful couple and some of the best, and offers most Modern, Maruyama figurines I have ever seen.
He is approximately 9" tall and she is approximately 8 1/2" tall.
She is in excellent condition, free from crazing, chips, cracks, and repairs.

I have seen other instances of this couple, but I find the blue-gray outfits to be outstanding. These are my favorite.
