This is the very first junk journal I made. I really love this one! The cover is a vintage book cover I recycled from an old book. I created my own spine and then covered it with the lovely rose fabrics. The beautiful piece of lace was given to me by a dear friend and it has found its home here on the cover of this journal. I used so many different papers in this one including, vintage penmanship papers, book pages, music sheet paper, scrapbook papers, maps, vellum papers and vintage greeting cards. It is also loaded with lace and trims that I have sewn into the pages. There is stamping, watercolor painting, a little piece of my original art, hand cut roses and butterflies and a cotton offers doily. There are also lots of pockets and places to add your own embellishments. It is very full and has a real gator mouth! The torn edges and machine stitches make it feel so nice and soft.
The cover measures 5 ½ by 8 ½ inches and the spine measures 1 ¾ inches. The gator mouth measures approximately 3 inches.
It has 4 sewn in signatures and 192 pages.
All of my beautiful items are made by me in my pet free, smoke free home studio.
