Scandinavian Mid century modern. Beautiful vintage large Arabia teapot ‘Arabia 4-69. The Ruska line is designed by Ulla Procope back in the early sixties and it has a simple and functional form. Beautiful for everyday use! Ruska is Finnish for "autumn colours" which perfectly descibes the colour of the Teapot: Shades of burned deep brown, golden and black semi matte glaze as often seen on Japanese Pottery.
The series is stoneware and due to the high firing is dense and solid. The Brown Spotty glaze is such that no two items are quite alike
