50s Novelty Print Skirt XS, Vintage Figural Jester Dovecoat Pink Green "Jo Collins" 1950s offers Cotton, Extra Small

This is an amazing true 1950s vintage novelty print circle skirt by Jo Collins! It's crisp white cotton with a pink, avocado green and black design of dovecote bird houses, birds, cherries, suns and little jester men in harlequin pattern suits! It has that classic 50s full skater skirt shape with a 1-1/8" inset waistband, two side seam pockets and a 1" hand basted hem allowance. It closes with a 6" heavy duty Talon steel zipper that runs down inside the left pocket, and a brown button on the left waist.

It's in very good clean and bright condition, freshly laundered, with a light scattering of teeny offers brown speckles located in an area that's 12" up from the bottom back hem. For laundry care, we recommend gentle hand washing separately and line drying. It comes from the estate of a former librarian and mom who saved her adorable 1950s clothes. The label says simply, "Jo Collins." It fits like a Women's XS and measures:

Waist - 23 inches,
Hips - 50 inches,
Length - 29 inches,
Hem Sweep - approx. 128 inches.

Our model Hazel is 5'2" tall and her measurements are 32-24-34. The 23 inch skirt waist was snug for everyday wear but did fit her.
