This is a Mamut Handmade soft Pastel set of 14 selected drawing colours. All of our soft pastels have been made following the old traditions and Antique recipes, using the best pigments and materials. They all have been dried naturally under the sun, and the greatest care has been taken in their artisan production and packaging, with a manufacturing process entirely made by hand.
All of the Mamut soft pastels on sale are part of offers a 2020 limited production.
The Mamut Pastels are perfect for artists of any skill level, also for beginners. But they have been made thinking of professional artists that demand the highest quality and a velvety smooth and creamy touch that only the best soft pastels can offer.
They apply very well on Pastel papers such as Canson-Mi teintes, as on Sanded papers or prepared boards. They also work perfectly for both, covering large areas and for detail work.

Soft Pastels have been used for a very long time by many different artists. From the Renaissance to our times, many painters such as Degas, Mary Cassat, Renoir, Picasso and others, have embraced this medium, creating wonderful pieces that still can be seen in museums around the world nowadays.
