This vintage beaded doll is made by the Ndebele tribe in South Africa. Ndebeles are among the smallest tribes in Southern Africa, but are easily one of the most colorful and distinctive. They are well known for their colorful houses that have distinctive patterns painted on the walls.

This doll offers is an example of their expert bead work and skill. She is wearing a pure wool felted cape, beaded apron, a leatherette skirt, neck and legs are adorned in metal rings. Original tag is on left leg. Decorated with magnificent handcrafted bead work.
Approx Measurements: 16” Tall x 5 1/2” W x 3 1/2” D
This doll is from the estate of a lifelong, non smoking collector and world traveler. The collector obtained and has owned this doll since her travels to South Africa.
