Window Lounge offers

These boxes are original artworks created by me using recycled cigar boxes and repurposed materials. Each one is unique and are miniature scenes often inspired by the objects themselves, or directly from my imagination. This box is a table top piece that features a blue arm chair, minimalist wall hanging, and floral arangement.

I strive to use as many offers found objects as possible, such as beverage lids, wood scraps, and anything I can find, including natural materials. On occasion I will use bought materials when there is something either cannot find or make; however, this is the exception. For most of the boxes the only materials I buy are paint and glue, and the cigar boxes themselves.

I began making these boxes around ten years ago, with the first one being a middle school art project. The project was to make a diorama/shadow box modeled after those of the artist Joseph Cornell. With that first box I really fell in love with this medium, and have made them ever sense, though only occasionally.

Over the last year I got the idea to consider becoming more serious with these boxes and try bringing them to the market. In this time, I have produced many boxes and plan on continuing for the foreseeable future.
