Unique Vintage Curtain Fabric Smock Dress with Pierrot Design UK Free offers Size

offers I picked this Pierrot curtain up in my stock several years ago and loved it so much I kept it back for something special.
It's about time it saw the light of day again so what better way than paired up with some 1970s fabric in a sensational smock dress.
As there was only one curtain, I had some careful placement to make to ensure the Pierrot pattern was seen at its best. For this reason, I havent gathered the sleeve edges, preferring to leave them full in order to see the design more clearly. You will see a line on the left sleeve, this is from the curtain hem - although thoroughly washed, a hem line remined that I couldn't remove. In these designs I do tend to leave traces of the former life of the textile but don't worry, no curtain rings in this one!
The front is in one piece so the design can be seen completely across the dress uninterrupted. The back had to be in two halves though so I've done my best to mirror the images.
The yoke and lower tier has been made from a vintage cotton that was gifted to me over thirty years ago - again, it was something I kept hidden away for a special creation. The two fabrics compliment each other so well it just had to be this design.
The inside of the dress has been French seamed and there is a double stitch detail on the sleeve cuffs.
Upcycled and reworked dresses have been a part of my collection for over twenty years and each one is individual. They take considerably more time to make in order to ensure the best design is chosen and patterns are matched where possible. You can be sure of a completely unique dress that will remain timeless in it's style.

The dress is oversized in it's design, slipping on overhead with no fastenings. It will fit from approx size 10 - 18
