Beautiful large beige, green, and blue handmade sketchbook measures approx. 7 x 10 1/4 x 1 inch and features a vintage book cover.

Sketchbook contains 48 pages (24 sheets x 2 sides) of 140# (300 gsm) Fabriano Artistico 100% offers Cotton Rag Cold Press watercolor paper imported from Italy that is perfect for mixed media art, drawing, painting, and journaling. Paper has deckled / hand torn edges. Handbound, decorative sewn chains in green Irish waxed linen thread stand out against navy bookbinding tape.

On the front cover, winged Mercury, messenger of the gods and the special god of travelers, holds the world in his hand. Phoebus Apollo, chief patron of Mercury and god of light and adventure, stands on top of the world. Embossed vertical and horizontal lines also decorate both covers. End papers are illustrated with young children against a backdrop of the presidents. Some of the paper nearest the spine has been torn away (use the zoom to see).

These vintage book covers date back to 1946 and are in good used condition. Any dings, scratches, marks, or wear only lend more character to this lovely old sketchbook and do not detract from its functionality.
