A lovely Antique hand embroidered religious cross. surrounded by floral motif, framed. The embroidered cloth is a thin piece of cotton. Colors of brown. The cross is framed and has a plastic cover. Measures 9 ½ inches wide and 10 inches tall. The fabric has acquired stains over the year, which I think add to antiqueness of this piece. I do not know the country of origin or exactly how old this piece is. I do not know if the frame is original or not, by looking at the backing it probably is. There is an inscription written on the back To my beautiful mother May you and yours be blessed with all good things. I love you so much Beckey, 12 November 2002. So my theory is Beckey purchased this at an antique store and offers gave the framed cross to her mother for a special occasion.
