Inlaid Ring, Spiny Oyster offers Shell, Mosaic, Wide, Sterling Silver, Vintage Ring, Size 8 1/2, Purple, Orange, Statement

This is a stunning, beautiful inlaid seashell ring. The large vintage ring is sterling silver. This is inlaid with a mosaic of offers spiny oyster shell. The natural colors of oranges and purplish pinks is gorgeous. The sections are separated by thin sterling lines. This is done in a freeform shape. It is bezel set and framed with a twisted accent. Now take a look at the band! Nice and wide, this is a great weight of sterling. It has an etched design that echos that of the mosaic shell. This is a unisex piece and can be worn by a man or a woman.

Properties: Sea shells are all part of a living ecosystem. They consists of calcium carbonate and grow in the ocean. Abalone shell has the colors of the sea from green, blues and purples. They are soft to the touch from tumbling in the sand and water. They have a ripple pattern to them which reminds me of the waves lapping onto the sand.

History: It has been used for centuries in jewelry. Native American Apache tradition dictates that and abalone shell disc is worn on the forehead of girls on the morning of their initiation into womanhood.

Healing Properties: Many believe that abalone helps you connect with the sea, family and motherhood. It brings a sense of peace, comfort, love, etc. It is thought to aide in strengthening the structure of the body, heart chakra, immune system, aid digestion and help with arthritis and/or other joint disorders.
