This teapot is entirely handmade, with great care. I first turn the body, the lid and the beak. After a day of drying, the different pieces are assembled, as offers well as the handle. Two weeks later, it's off to the first 960oC cooking. The enamel must be very careful with this speckled green enamel: the differences in colors are obtained by subtle variations of thicknesses... The interior of the teapot is enamelled with a white enamel, guaranteed for food contact, to facilitate cleaning. Cooking a large fire, at 1220oC, allows you to obtain an object that you can use every day, solid and can go to the dishwasher and microwave.
The egg shape of this teapot made me want to add a small hen, incubating its eggs... And why not make it a gift for moms and chickens who love tea or herbal teas?! ...
