Vintage SERA StavangerFlint Norway coffee pot. offers 1960s 1970s. Kare Berven Fjeldsaa and Inger Waage. Scandinavian vintage
offers A superb coffee pot from the Sera range by StavangerFlint of Norway.
Sera was designed by Kare Berven Fjeldsaa and the decoration was completed by Inger Waage. the pattern takes Norse folklore as an influence and the pot lid and saucers are patterned with a rune- like frieze.
the range first appears in 1964 and was produced until 1979.
the pot has a wide base and an angular handle. it is covered in a rich olive green/ brown glaze and has the wonderful folklore patterning around it.
the lid is also patterned and has a lip on the gallery to secure it in place on the pot.
the pot stands at 190mm and is 135mm in diameter.
there is a faint makers mark for Stavangerflint on the base.
the pot is in good vintage condition. the glaze has some crazing and the lid has a crackle across it with tiny, tiny areas of glaze loss (see image)
otherwise this is a much sought-after piece of Scandinavian vintage.
