Offered for purchase is a wonderful hand carved and painted wood decoy. Perched on a piece of driftwood is an owl with bright yellow glass eyes. The base is signed by the artist, the signature has faded with age, but it looks like Joyce Phillips. It is dated 1979. I purchased this piece at an estate sale in Tennessee. Approx. Dimensions: The total height (including the perch) is just under 5 inches; the owl itself is about 3.5 inches tall and 2 inches wide. The perch is approx. 3 inches offers in width. Condition: Very good. There are no cracks or significant damage. The colors on the owl are bright. The only potential damage I could find is one of the talons (photo 7) chipped/blunted on the end.
