Killarney Provincial Park on the shores of Georgian Bay is famous for its rugged shorelines and windswept tree landscapes. This iconic Canadian Shield landscape was first made famous by Tom Thompson and the Group of Seven.

Linocut Reduction Block Relief Printing:
Linocut reduction block printmaking involves cutting, then printing a lino print block as a single color. All the prints in an edition must be printed together at this stage because the block is 'reduced' by carving the same block for the next color. This second color is printed directly on top of the first color after it has dried. Re-carving a block for a new color destroys any chance to reprint an earlier color, thus making this printmaking process a truly 'limited edition.'

Transparent oil based printmaking ink enables several color layers to be stacked upon each other. The artist can modify the transparency, gloss and texture of printing ink by adjusting the ingredients added to their printing ink.
