A piece of Japanese hand-dyed, hand-woven kasuri or ikat indigo cloth (YUM) is delicately hand-sewn around the top edge, providing a subtle dash of panache while simultaneously protecting the edges from wear. The handle is formed by braided rice straw. The proportions are lovely: measures 8" high x 12" wide and the bottom measures 4" x 11".
