Kayu ("six" in mapuche language) is one single wooden surface that includes 15 pin weaving looms:

- 7 sizes of square
- 6 sizes of triangle
- 2 size of rectangle.

It has been designed to weave on the bias (continuous strand weaving / diagonal weaving / rapid weaving). However, you can also do tapestry weaving.

The distance between pins is 1 cm (center to center).

Versatile, handy, portable size, easy to use, take and store, highly enjoyable.

If you like trying your own patterns and stitches in different sizes of weaving loom, this is a great tool for you!

You can try different gauges and types of fibers, from natural to acrylic, the possibilities are endless!


::: HOW TO USE IT

1. Choose square, triangle or rectangle.
2. Choose a size between the options for each shape.
3. Arrange the pins.
4. Start weaving!
5. When the woven piece is finished, remove it and so the pins to store it safely.

As easy as that! Avoid the regular nail looms that damage your cloth and are difficult to store! Save space at home by having 15 weaving looms in one!

Kayu surface is 34,5x34,5 cm (13,5"). It includes the following pin loom sizes:

SQUARE
- 30x30 cm (12x12" aprox)
- 26x26 cm (10x10" aprox)
- 22x22 cm (8x8" aprox)
- 18x18 cm (7x7" aprox)
- 14x14 cm (5x5" aprox)
- 10x10 cm (4x4" aprox)
- plus 2 extra sizes!

TRIANGLE
Half each of the six squares above.

RECTANGLE
10x30cm (4x12" aprox)
10x20cm (4x8" aprox)

::: MANUFACTURING

Kayu is perfectly made by CNC router technology. The main surface is birch MDF with a vegetable (ecological) coating and the pins are plastic made.


::: WHAT DOES IT INCLUDES

You will receive with this purchase:

- Kayu (34,5x34,5 cm / 13,5" wooden surface)
- Cotton bag with 130 plastic grey pins (enough to complete the bigger square and a few extra ones).
- Yarn needle
- Printed instructions

Everything comes carefully wrapped in a cotton ecobag, inside of a cardboard box (pizza box).

::: IMPORTANT

Kayu is a pin weaving loom with a regular distance between pins of 1 cm. Even offers though you can always try your own techniques, consider that it doesn`t work as the Loomette or Zoom Loom, this is a pin loom commonly used for continuous strand weaving (weaving on the bias) or tapestry weaving, as the examples shown in the pictures.
