RARE Camel Cigarettes Statuette - Table offers Cigarette Holder - Vintage Camel Pack - Tobacciana, Cigarette Memorabilia

This Camel cigarette table holder seems to be very rare - Since I acquired it for my collection, I have not seen another like it. I have not been able to find any info about it. It may have been an official Camel promotional item, or perhaps just a piece of decor made by another company.

The iconic sitting camel is finely detailed, with flowing hair and intricate musculature. On his back sits a rectangle case that perfectly fits a pack of cigarettes, though it may hold a pack of playing cards or similar. The case is decorated with iconic middle eastern architecture, with a domed building and towers in the background. The reverse side shows tents amidst palm trees offers and a totem pole like structure.

The vintage Camel soft pack is included, but not intended for smoking. I do not know how old the cigarettes are, but it includes the Surgeon Generals warning, which was first introduced in the 1970s. The cigarette pack is well worn and the cellophane is torn in places.

The camel is in good condition, though the silver colored plating has worn away throughout the piece to reveal a dark base metal beneath, giving it a lovely antiqued finish. There does not appear to be any other damage - See pictures for details.
