Looking for that special gift for a bird lover? or just yourself?This small ( 14" x 15" 36 cm x 38 cm)art quilt of an American Coot swimming on a multicolored blue and purple background will fit nicely into any decor or space.

This technique is called fabric layering. I place the backing on offers a table and cover it with the batting. Then I create the picture on the batting using fabric and threads, adding different layers as needed. When finished, the scene is covered with tulle and machine quilted together. The edges are zigzagged twice. When done, the tulle is very hard to see.

A quilt is made up of three layers, the top, the batting in the middle and the back. A fabric tube or sleeve is hand sewn to the top back of the quilt to ease hanging. Comes with a dowel and fishing line. Ready to hang easily hung from a push pin.

Keep out of direct sunlight. Shake or dust to clean.
