Up for sale is this incredible oil painting on board. The piece is unsigned, but I acquired this along with a companion piece by the same artist, that was signed "Antonio Tammaro" and dated "1946." Antonio Tammaro is an Italian artist born in 1915. He has a few auction records out there. This piece depicts an offers Italian coastal scene with fishermen hauling in their daily catch. The painting itself is not titled on the artwork, but the carved frame identifies the piece as "Fishermen." The painting shows a deft artist's touch and real mastery. Just a fantastic all-around piece. As mentioned, I have a signed and dated companion piece by the same artist. Please see my other listings. Painting shows some instances of minor wear consistent with age. There are a couple of scuffs and you can see that it was nailed into the frame. Painting measures approximately 14.125 inches wide x 9.375 inches high. Frame measures approximately 17.25 inches wide x 12.5 inches high.
