GORGEOUS, large & intact. This is a museum replica of 'Medallion with Varlet with Horn & Hound'. My camera cannot focus well on this shade of indigo blue so I have included the correct color as the last picture.

Just about 2-1/2" (63.5 cm) tall by the same wide by 1/16" (2 mm) thick. Hallmarked 'MMA Sterling'. MMA is the Metropolitan Museum Of Art. Heavy weight offers - 42.4 g / 1.49 oz.

The original art was made ca 1240–60 & made in Limoges, France. It was made of copper, engraved & gilt with champleve enamel in medium & light blue & white. The original piece measures 3 9/16" x 1/16" (9.1 x 0.2 cm) & it, along with a few other similar types were a gift of J. Pierpont Morgan in 1917. The originals were on display in Paris at the Musée du Louvre,"L'Oeuvre de Limoges," October 23, 1995–January 22, 1996 & then again in New York at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, "Enamels of Limoges, 1100-1350," January 22, 1996–June 16, 1996. This replica was made in honor of this popular display.
