YTTRIUM FLUORITE:
Also known as Lavender Fluorite, is the uncommon result of two minerals, Yttrium and Fluorite, blending together. Unlike ordinary Fluorite, about 20% of its structure (of calcium ions) has been replaced by the mineral Yttrium. This is what creates the soft, creamy, lavender colour. As far as we know, this crystal occurs only in one location of Mexico.

Lavender Fluorite lends soft, gentle, yet offers powerful energy. It is one of pure wisdom, and grace. Like most purple stones and gems, it is associated with the crown and other higher chakras.

It emits a very high vibration that holds deep calm, knowledge, and wisdom. This is a stone of “the bigger picture”, the all-encompassing, all-knowing.

Fluorite is composed of calcium fluoride and is a member of the Halide family. It is transparent to translucent with a vitreous luster, and crystallizes in well-formed isometric cubes, nodules, clusters, or in massive form. It is the only common mineral with perfect cleavage in four directions, a characteristic that may be visible to the naked eye in clear stones as subtle etchings permeating the entire crystal.

Hailed as “the most colourful mineral in the world,” Fluorite forms in a wide variety of hues, typically purple, green, yellow, blue, and in pure form – colourless, though specimens of pink, red, white, brown and black also occur. It is frequently multi-coloured with bands, or zones, of colour that intermingle.
