This bangle has been cleaned and restored to the original color with a careful, chemical free process. It absolutely gleams - we have polished it to a high shine. There's no more darkness, no scuffs or dullness. This is authentic original Bakelite with the right weight, fit and sound to mix perfectly with the rest of your collection. It is in excellent condition with no nicks, scuffs or scratches and a beautifully even, polished color.

We use a carefully perfected process to remove the years of tarnish and soil, revealing the original, beautiful and rare colors underneath. All bangles are tested prior to cleaning.

All our Bakelite is authentic. It has been polished and cleaned to expose the original color. As all Bakelite patinas with age, over the years this bangle will change color again. To slow the patina process, we recommend storing your Bakelite in the anti tarnish bag provided in a closed jewelry box or drawer. It should not be stored with lucite or celluloid.


The process of cleaning off the tarnish means that the exterior of the bangles will no longer pass a Simichrome/409 test. It will pass the hot water, weight, and sound tests.
