I adore the look of this vintage oscillating Robbins & Meyers fan!
This is List No 20004, and while I haven't been able to place the exact date, I believe it was manufactured prior offers to 1950.
This awesome fan has art deco design - just look at that wing-shaped base! It still has its original cage and metal nameplate.
It is rusty, it could stand a good cleaning, it looks as if critters have gnawed on the cord a bit, and it has been welded in the center and the center plate is missing. But it works, and it is cool as can be! (But to be on the safe side, you might want to shorten the electrical cord to eliminate the open copper wiring!)
These are popular with folks that like to repurpose old fans. I have seen some really neat ceiling fans cobbled together using desk fans.
