Product code: 1940s Paul Revere offers patriotic seersucker nautical 1700s fabric yardage, 35" wide x 1.75 yards
A rare print based on the historical poem "Paul Revere's Ride" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Paul was a patriot during the American Revolution. According to Wikipedia, he is best known for riding out at midnight to alert the militia of approaching British troops.
This print includes two lit lanterns ("two if by sea" in the poem), offers Americans and red coat military men, and a Paul-like character riding out at night. Such a neat piece of history and a unique textile! Circa 1940s. Possibly war era because of the Patriotic themed print.
Seersucker lightweight cotton. Light yellow. 35" wide x 1.75 yards
Unwashed and as found. 2-3 small and faint stains, hardly noticeable.
