Product code: Offers Pleasant Company American Girl Today 1995 1st Edition KIRSTEN MINI DOLL in Boxes
Some collectors may not know that the Mini Dolls introduced by Pleasant Company in 1995/1996 were intended as Christmas presents for the American Girl of Today 18" Dolls as the original ones in the American Girl Historical Collection. Here it is for your consideration a 1995 First Edition of a Kirsten 6-inch (later 6.5") Mini Doll with glass eyes, complete and mint in both boxes, a tiny version of her first book with offers dust jacket, and her pamphlet "Meet Kirsten", copyright 1991 by Pleasant Company. A set of 10 mini grin pins is also included. Aside from being well made and very appealing, the collectibility of this item is probably most related to the fact that in 1998 Pleasant Company was sold to Mattel, Inc. Like anything that is no longer made or available, the items produced by Pleasant Company rather than Mattel are very sought after by serious collectors, and therefore tend to be a great investment.
