A neat set of 3 Mid Century Modern Georges Briard Pop Art "Heinz" glasses. These whimsical glasses feature various Heinz products including Pork & Beans, Tomato Soup, and Green Pea Soup. The front "soup labels" are different than the "back label" (to mimic the front and back of a real labeled can). These glasses are the epitome of the whimsical nature of Georges Briard patterns during the Mid Century. The vibrant enameled pattern is truly stunning. Truly a neat and rare set.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Georges Briard was the go-to for decorative housewares in the 1950s and 60s and was carried at upscale retails like Bloomingdale's and Neiman Marcus. Briard's success and notoriety came with the use of 22-karat gold as screened decoration for bent glassware. His design hallmarks are repetitive patterns, most often featuring geometric shapes or nature based images. Georges Briard is known for creating some of the most stunning Mid Century Modern glassware as well as Atomic and Kitsch designs in the later 1970s and is the essence of MCM glassware excellence.

Maker/year: Georges Briard, 1960s

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Georges Briard" in white enamel

Measurements: 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The glass clarity is perfectly clear. There is extremely minor age/wear to a few spots (smaller than a pinhead) to the enamel. Overall, these glasses are in very good vintage condition and display beautifully. Truly a magical and whimsical set.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces well to ensure safe delivery. Please note: we are not making a penny on shipping. We pack our items securely to ensure safe arrival (especially our glassware, which means a larger, heavier box)! If you buy multiple pieces/sets, we will combine shipping if possible (glassware sets typically ship in their own box to ensure safe arrival) and will reimburse you for any shipping overages.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the offers risk of breakage.

>>> IMPORTANT UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS/PROOF OF ORDER ACCURACY & SHIPMENT: on orders with MULTIPLE pieces please note that if your order has more than one item/piece in it (so multiple pieces such as a set of jiggers, cocktail picks, tags, Julep cups, combined shipping orders, the screw cap on a flask or shaker, etc.) please take care to thoroughly empty the box and unpack ALL pieces which may be hidden in tissue paper, bubble wrap, peanuts, etc. We cannot be responsible if you accidentally throw one of your items away! We WILL be able to confirm with 100% certainty that we shipped ALL pieces in your order as we photograph/document ALL PIECES in the box it ships in along with the buyer's order receipt, shipping label, and tracking number (in case we need to verify that all pieces were shipped once the package has been received). Thank you for shopping with us and cheers!
