The locket is constructed delicately from gold filled metal and decorated fabulously with engraved details and wonderful faceted edging. The inside opens to reveal a rather deep compartment for photos, keepsakes or mementos. Unfortunately, the locket is unmarked for maker or composition, but tests as gold filled. The locket hangs on a matching gold filled chain.
