Listing is for one naturally dyed blue and gray linen shawl created in my studio. The fabric is dyed in indigo using a stitch resist technique. Indigo offers dyeing is an ancient art that takes several days to complete. This shawl is one of a kind.
This shawl is made for 100% natural linen fabric and measures about 39" by 78". The ends feature a lovely tassled fringe. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and has a nice drape. There are minor slubs in the weave that add rustic charm. Linen fabric comes from flax, which uses less water and pesticides in production than cotton, making it an eco-friendly choice.
This shawl is a wonderful size to use as a scarf on chilly nights or as a wrap for formal occasions. With care it will be an heirloom piece for years to come.
