Three Wise Monkeys, Japanese Wooden Vintage Hand Carved, Three Mystic offers Apes, Jointed legs

Amazing set of the Three Wise Monkeys, also known as the Three Mystic Apes! Set of three individual hand-carved wooden monkeys, portraying the Japanese proverbial maxim, of "See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil". The three monkeys are: Mizaru (who covers his eyes to see no evil); Kikazaru (who covers his ears to hear no evil); and Iwazaru (who covers his mouth to speak no evil). The carvings are of Japanese macaques and are lightweight with a flat base for sitting on a shelf. Legs are jointed and attached with metal, made for dangling from the shelf. They are in good vintage condition, but each one does have nicks here and there. Please feel free to ask for more pictures if needed.
