Some people think clowns are creepy, and we admit, sometimes they are, but the creepiness is in the eye of the beholder. Some collect certain clowns just because they think they are terrifying while others might like the same clown because they think it is cute and happy. This one looks like he's throwing a peace sign or crossing his fingers with his right hand as he drags a cane upside down in his left hand. He has the traditional huge shoes and the little hobo cap, is adorned in the offers classic clown eye and lip makeup and wears a look on his face that borders on both happiness and sadness. He even has that red bozo hairstyle.
We do not know exactly how old he is, but he's super similar to others dated in the 1970's and 1980's. And he's a big fella too, standing at 17" tall x 9" wide and 8.5" deep. He is free standing and has some minor chips and flecks, but nothing that stands in the way of his aesthetic appeal or structure. This piece of Mexican Cartoneria folk art is signed "Alvarez" and "Mexico."
