This piece may be small but the ebony stained 8"x 6" wood is a perfect background for the bright copper strips and colorful pieces of stained glass. All of colors and textures come together to make this piece a powerful little jewel. It really is gorgeous in person.

The first picture shows the direction I made it, but it can be displayed in whichever way you like the best. Hang it on the wall or put it in a stand. Any way you do it, you will love it!

I use anything and everything in my jewelry designs, from old escutcheons to broken brooches to found objects, as well as the necessary newer components to offers finish them. Assemblage and hand painting are key to many of my designs. Tiny details are part of the fun, so look around and be sure to "zoom" the pictures to see what makes each piece so special.


I also design wonderful, wearable clothing using vintage linens, including lace, tablecloths, crochet doilies, and handkerchiefs. The design process is challenging, dressmaking in its pure form - no patterns, lots of pinning and basting, and starts and restarts. It's a bit like putting together puzzle pieces in order to transform them into a remarkable and beautiful work of art......wearable art!
