Here's a handmade ceramic pottery bowl, inspired by ocean shapes and textures.
I handbuilt this piece out of stoneware clay, but before I did, I mixed in some of a grain-based art compound, which subsequently burned out in the kiln. (Many people know this substance as Play-Doh.)
There are a bunch of different glazes. The texture is fine for food, but the gaping hole means that it wouldn't be suitable for offers food. I'm envisioning it as an accent bowl or objet-d'art.
It's nearly 2 inches deep and about 6 inches around.
