The Tower Treasure by Franklin W. Dixon The first entry in the iconic Hardy Boys Series. Initially printed in 1928 on red boards, this particular edition is housed in brown boards and dates to between 1941 and 1942 as evidenced by the yellow spine on the dust jacket, orange 'Gretta' end papers, and original Walter S. Rogers illustrations. The date range is further confirmed by the book lists on the inside flap of the dust jacket as well as the end pages of the book which end on The Clue of the Broken Blade and The Mystery of the Flying Express whose publishing dates correspond accordingly. Condition wise the dust jacket has some tears most noticeably on the top and bottom of the dust jacket. (See photos). The inside of offers the cover has a name written in pencil and a small price of 50 cents written in the top right. The brown boards show signs of aging and the pages have browned a bit. The first 37 pages have the page numbers written in pencil at the bottom of the page.
