Two-tiered server caddy made with a lovely vintage Japanese ceramic bowl and Chinese tea cup. Beautiful Asian design featuring a dark blue scroll, flower and pagoda pattern on the bowl, blue patterned rim with red accents and gilded edge on the cup. A brass dragon finial on top adds character and a touch of whimsy. This tray would look lovely loaded up with small treats, sitting on a desk filled with office accessories, or holding bath soaps in your powder room, it's a very functional piece. Both bowl and offers cup are in excellent vintage condition, no visible chips, cracks or crazing.
Overall measurements once assembled are approximately 9" tall by 6.5" across. Larger bowl measures 6.5" across and 1.25" tall. The cup is approximately 3.5" across and 1.5" tall. The dragon finial adds another 3.25". Comes apart for easy cleaning and storage.
These plates are old and, in some instances, well loved. There may be some minor scratches, crazing or cracks in the plates which makes them ideal for this application. Their imperfections add to their charm. In some instances, rubber feet have been attached to the bottom plate for greater stability. I try to source dishes that are in excellent vintage condition, however, these are second-hand so they may have some minor blemishes in them. I try to point out any marks in the description and present each item to the best of my ability.
