The Peacock Butterfly, Circuit Board Insect has been lovingly fabricated from discarded and obsolete computer circuit board components. Circuit board patterns are repeated on his wings as delicate wing offers veins. His eyes are two brand new and sparkling Swarovsky crystals in Dark Rainbow, adding a touch of romance and a sense of renewal to old, discarded electronics. He has a wingspan of 11 cm (4.25 inches) approximately and comes set against a lightly textured, bright white background in a natural pale wooden style box frame which measures 19 cm (7.5 inches) squared approximately. Other frame colours are available in black, white and grey. Each one of my Computer Bugs is a one off, original artwork...there are no two alike. It is my hope that my Up cycled Insect Artworks help to highlight the dangers of planned obsolescence and raise awareness of e-waste in the natural environment
