Vintage 1929 Rosenthal Selb Bavaria China 9" Serving Bowl for Ritz Tower Hotel offers Tropical Bird Floral Design Dish Restaurantware Gift Ideas

This is a beautiful vintage Rosenthal Selb Bavaria 9" china serving bowl that was made for the Ritz Tower in New York City and furnished by distributor Albert Pick Barth Company of New York. Based on my research, I believe that this bowl was made in offers 1929. The Ritz Tower (owned by Ritz Carlton Hotel), at 465 Park Avenue was New York City's most elegant apartment hotel in the 1920s. In fact, it was such an important contribution to the NYC skyline that in 2002, The Ritz Tower was designated an official New York City landmark. This exquisite hand painted, porcelain dish features gorgeous florals in hues of blue, pink, and green with an exotic tropical bird resting on a branch in the center. This is a heavy, very well-made large restaurantware bowl that is in excellent condition for age. I would love it for a large oversized soup bowl or ice cream bowl:-) A great addition for the commercial china hotel ware collector or a replacement for incomplete heirloom sets you have at home! It also makes the perfect 2nd Anniversary gift! -- The gift of china:-)
