Lovely 1950s offers Floral Cotton Day Dress Set (dress, jacket, cummerbund) (S)

Todays vintage offering is another beauty straight out of Pauline's closet: a 1950s dress with matching jacket and cummerbund. This beautiful set is constructed from what feel
like cotton and has a lovely sand and green base with a pink, bright blue and purple floral pattern.

The dress is unlined and features short sleeves, a v-shaped back, and beautifully placed seams and darts. The dress closes with a 17 1/2” metal talon zipper down the center back. The jacket is unlined and has a crew neckline and long sleeves. There are no closures on the jacket — it's meant to be worn open. Finally, the matching belt or cummerbund is quiet simple: it's a length of fabric which can be manipulated into pleats and closes with three metal hooks.

The set is beautifully made and is in excellent condition. It has been hand laundered and air dried outside in the spring offers sunshine. Pauline must've loved this set to keep it all those decades — I'm so pleased to pass it on to you.
