Offers Vintage Semper Paratus Always Ready US Army 12th Cavalry Regiment Unit Crest Enamel Yellow Shield Green Cactus Faux Woodgrain Slide Bolo Tie
This is a fantastic Semper Paratus, always ready, US Army 12th Cavalry Regiment unit, enamel yellow shield and green cactus faux woodgrain slide clasp bolo tie. The rounded kite shaped bolo has a raised plaque that I believe is faux wood with a heavily varnished, reflective surface. The shiny gold tone crest is enameled in bright yellow, green and white. The 12th Cavalry has a long and rich history of service. The yellow shield denotes the status as a Cavalry Regiment and the cactus represents the patrolling the Mexican border starting in 1901. There is a black braided leather cord with shiny gold tone tips.
A larger size, it measures 2 1/8 inches wide, 2 7/8 inches tall, 1/4 inch thick, and 1/2 inch thick with the clasp. The cord is 37 inches long.
The bolo is in very good vintage condition.
The back is signed Platemaster.
